Partner of the UNESCO Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve

The UNESCO Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve has had a cross-state partner network since 2011. The partners of the biosphere reserve implement exemplary resource-conserving and environmentally conscious concepts and thus act as ambassadors for the biosphere reserve. One aim of the partner network is to promote regional economic cycles and sustainable regional development. Recognition as a partner of the biosphere reserve takes place in a certification process that implements the nationwide standards for partner networks of Nationale Naturlandschaften e.V., the umbrella organization for large protected areas.

The products, services and offers of the partners stand for quality, environmental friendliness and regionality.

The network is characterized by close cooperation between the biosphere reserve administration, local authorities and interest groups with sustainably operating companies and associations.

The network of partners of the UNESCO Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve comprises more than 190 partners in eleven sectors across all federal states.
