UNESCO program.<br \/>UNESCO is an organization that works worldwide.<br \/>It has made rules for biosphere reserves.<br \/>These rules are reviewed regularly.<\/p><p>There are 748 biosphere reserves in 134 countries around the world.<br \/>There is a large biosphere reserve on the Elbe in Germany.<br \/>It is called \"Flusslandschaft Elbe\".<br \/>Five federal states are included:<\/p><ul><li>Schleswig-Holstein<\/li><li>Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania<\/li><li>Lower condition.<\/p><p>Many people work together to achieve this:<\/p><ul><li>Administrations<\/li><li>Farmers and foresters<\/li><li>Tourism groups<\/li><\/ul><p>The administrations of the biosphere reserve talk to these groups.<br \/>Together they plan how to protect nature and develop the region.<br \/>There are meetings and working groups where people exchange ideas.<\/p><p>The goal is:<br \/>The region should be sustainable.<br \/>That means:<br \/>People should be able to live well in the region without harming
